May 26, 2026 – St. John’s, N.L. – Elegance and impact converged on Sunday, May 24, as the Health Care Foundation hosted its 18th annual Brunch with the Bags™, raising $153,385 in support of women’s health care in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott St. John’s, the sold-out event welcomed 320 guests for an afternoon of live entertainment, a three-course brunch, and exclusive opportunities to win or purchase 120 generously donated handbags, luxury items, and curated packages.
Proceeds from this year’s event will support women’s health initiatives and priorities identified across the health-care system, including patient and family comfort, surgical care, enhanced pain management options, and Comfort in Care Grants™ dedicated to women’s health initiatives.

The continued growth of the event underscores the importance of investing in women’s health care, and the critical role philanthropy continues to play in helping enhance care experiences, advance innovation, and support evolving patient needs throughout the province.
