Community came together in full force on June 18, 2026, as the Health Care Foundation hosted its annual Gurney Cup Golf Tournament at The Wilds Resort. The sold-out event brought together 148 golfers and raised $117,585 in support of health care in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Funds raised through the 2026 Gurney Cup will help bring Musculoskeletal Ultrasound technology to the Rheumatology Program at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. This advanced imaging tool will help physicians diagnose and treat patients more quickly, reduce wait times, and improve access to care.

Each year, the Health Care Foundation hosts The Gurney Cup Charity Golf Tournament in support of adult healthcare in Newfoundland and Labrador. This exciting event follows a four-person Best Ball format. Every player tees off on every hole, and the coveted Gurney Cup is awarded to the top team.
