Health Care Foundation Reaches a Tremendous Milestone
St. John’s, NL – The Health Care Foundation held its annual general meeting today and provided an overview of the Foundation’s achievements for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
“Thanks to our incredible donors, supporters, and partners, we are delighted to announce that approximately $2.9 million was raised during our last fiscal year in support of our hospitals and health centres here at home,” said Jocelyn Perry, Chair of the Health Care Foundation’s Board of Directors. “The generosity of our donors continues to keep our hospitals up to date with the latest advances in tools and technologies, while also enhancing the patient experience of health care, right here at home.”
“Today, I’m thrilled to announce that the Health Care Foundation has reached a tremendous milestone in support of adult health care for the people of our province”, said Paul Snow, President and CEO of the Health Care Foundation. “This year marks over $50 million that have been given to Eastern Health over the last 17 years, thanks to our donors. That is over $50 million worth of next generation medical equipment, research, and patient care items for all of us, thanks to you.”
