February 24, 2025 – St. John’s, N.L. – The Health Care Foundation’s annual Row4Heart event marked a record-breaking year, with 41 registered teams and $173,025 raised to advance cardiac care in Newfoundland and Labrador. The event showcased the transformative power of community, bringing people together in a shared commitment to improving heart health in the province.
Now in its fifth year, Row4Heart continues to grow, welcoming participants of all fitness levels in support of enhanced cardiac care. By harnessing the collective efforts of teams, supporters, and advocates, the event highlights the far-reaching impact of philanthropy in strengthening and advancing essential healthcare services.
“Row4Heart is a testament to the generosity and dedication of our community,” said Paul Snow, President and Chief Executive Officer, Health Care Foundation. “Year after year, this event brings people together with a common goal— strengthening cardiac care for patients throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. The funds raised will make a profound difference, ensuring access to innovative care and improved outcomes for those facing heart disease.”
In addition to its fundraising success, the event celebrated outstanding team achievements, including:
- Highest Fundraising Team: Cardiac Crusaders, raising $13,197.65.
- Longest Distance Rowed (Overall): Capital Home Hardware 17,902 metres rowed.
- Longest Distance Rowed – Youth (Overall): U13A Paradise Warriors with 12,239 metres rowed.
