Helping Hands Hero
This position lends a vital helping hand with administrative tasks within the Foundation – from general clerical duties to helping distribute materials about our work throughout hospitals and health care centres! This is a great opportunity for people who want to update their office skills, students who require volunteer hours and strengthen their resumes and recent retirees who want to contribute their skills to a charitable organization.

Events Champion
This position provides an incredible support to our fundraising events, with various opportunities to champion their skills and knowledge. As an Event Champion, you will have opportunities to help with the set-up and take-down for events, as well as to network and grow interpersonal skills as an event-day volunteer!

Committee Member
The Health Care Foundation has a number of Committees, some that lead our events and some that oversee our programs. Committees work closely with the Foundation’s Staff and Board and are vital to the success of the event and program facilitation. Program committees provide direction and support to program operations. They are responsible for advising on community trends, issues and opportunities that affect the program, being ambassadors for the program in the community and ensuring the program remains aligned with our mission and strategic directions.
Committee volunteers will also aid in event planning and some of the following revenue generating tasks:
- Event sponsorship
- Ticket Sales and Registration fees
- Prize donations for event auctions
- Raffle Ticket Sales
- Games and other Fundraising initiatives
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the Health Care Foundation, please fill out the volunteer application form and indicate your area of interest. Applications can be submitted by mail, fax or email.
Volunteers will receive an email inviting them to schedule an interview with us. At this interview, we will discuss specific interest, skills, and time availability.
