Comfort in Care
Our Comfort in CareTM grant program allows staff of Eastern Health apply for funding to purchase items that will improve the comfort of patients in their unit.
It could be a comfort item as simple as blanket warmer or a video game console, or items like a pocket talker, to help the elderly or hard of hearing communicate better with staff, or “way finding” signage that helps patients with dementia orient themselves.
The program elevates the patient experience of healthcare in our hospitals by giving patients the little comforts that make a big difference in their time of need.
