Row4Heart
Did you know that 1 in 3 people living in Newfoundland and Labrador will be impacted by cardiac illness? Cardiac disease can impact anyone – maybe you are a parent having to navigate a new diagnosis with the additional stress of having small children at home, or maybe a cardiac emergency has caused a big detour in your retirement plans. With so many impacted, it’s important to have confidence in the care you receive during your time of need. This is where you come in!
Row4Heart is a fun, indoor rowing fundraiser open to everyone! Participants register a team of 4-10 friends, family, or co-workers, asking people to donate to their team, and on event day, teams will race against the clock (and each other) to row the greatest distance they can in 60 minutes. Each team member will row for 3 minutes, and then switch. Teams only need to show up for the hour their team is scheduled to row.
There are prizes for Best Time, Best Fundraiser, and Most Spirited Team! This is a family-friendly event, and as competitive as you want to be – the real goal is to raise money for a good cause. All funds raised by each team, will go toward improving cardiac care, right here at home!
Having quality cardiac services is crucial, and technology is always changing. Your donations help improve the care of patients and equip our health care professionals with the tools they need to save lives. The Health Care Foundation knows that the best cardiac care and technology are critical to the well-being of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. Row4Heart participants help us ensure our cardiologists and healthcare providers have the tools they need, so they can do their best job getting you better.
It is easy to take part in this heart pumping event! Register online and pay a team registration fee of $100. Each team is then required to then fundraise a minimum of $1,000 (or $100 per person). So grab your friends, family, co-workers and rowing buddies and start raising money for cardiac care!
