NLHS Staff Matching Program
Turn Your Staff Fundraiser into Twice the Impact

The Health Care Foundation | NLHS Staff Matching Program supports Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS) staff who come together to raise funds to enhance the care and comfort of patients. Through the program, eligible fundraising initiatives organized by NLHS staff groups or departments can receive matching funds from the Health Care Foundation, up to $2,500 per department within a 12-month period.

Funds raised by NLHS staff through an approved fundraising initiative must be designated to support comfort items for patients.

Following the fundraiser, the Health Care Foundation will match the net funds raised, up to $2,500. The Foundation’s matching contribution may be directed toward:

  • Patient Comfort: Comfort items that enhance the care, experience, and well-being of patients, residents, or clients.
  • Staff Education: Professional development, education, and learning opportunities that support our health care teams and ultimately benefit patient care.

For example, if your department raises $2,000 in net proceeds, the Health Care Foundation can provide an additional $2,000 in matching funds, creating a total impact of $4,000.
