PIER Program
Supporting Early Intervention. Supporting Recovery.

When someone experiences psychosis for the first time, getting the right care and support early can make an important difference in their recovery. The Psychosis Intervention and Early Recovery (PIER) Program is an NL Health Services mental health program that provides specialized support for individuals experiencing early psychosis. The program focuses on early intervention and recovery, helping individuals receive the treatment, guidance, and support they need while also supporting families and loved ones throughout the journey.

Your Gift Gives
Hope for Recovery

Through the generosity of donors, the Health Care Foundation supports the PIER Program by helping fund resources and enhancements that complement clinical care and contribute to recovery. Donor support can help create opportunities that extend beyond treatment alone, supporting meaningful activities, resources, and experiences that promote confidence, connection, independence, and quality of life. For someone navigating the early stages of a serious mental illness, these supports can be an important part of moving forward. Your gift helps provide individuals with the support and opportunities they need to build toward recovery and a more hopeful future.

About the PIER Program

PIER is part of NL Health Services’ continuum of community-based mental health and addictions services and focuses on psychosis intervention and early recovery. For information about accessing mental health and addictions programs and services, visit NL Health Services.
